Mrs Rodut (fictional character)

Does anyone remember a character in a (I think) children's book, dating from the 1970s or earlier?

The name popped into my head this afternoon, but I can't remember anything about the book where I came across it - c.50 years ago. And Google denies any knowledge of such a name. So have I imagined this fictional character, or does anyone else remember her?

@24Dogcuddler I can't remember! It did involve a mystery, but it was a kind of historical mystery, I think, which doesn't really sound like Blyton.

All I can recall is that - spoiler alert! - it's important Mrs Rodut's name is 'Tudor' spelled backwards.

The White Rose Murders (aka The Crimson Rose) by Paul Doherty has a Mrs Rodut

@Sc00byDont thanks for the ideas, but a quick look online suggests they're all too recent. I read the book in question in the early 1970s, I think.
