How can I cope with constant noise from upstairs neighbours’ children?

My upstairs neighbours are making my life miserable, yes they are just kids and yes they can’t help it up but they run up and down all day jumping and screaming, ride toys up and down on the floor, don’t go to school so home all day, they throw things on the floor the noise is horrific I’m sure it’s laminate throughout. They stay up to 11pm most nights. Even if I go downstairs (live in a maisonette) I can still hear them. It’s a one bed flat above but keeps being rented out to families with several kids (I know COLC and all but when I first moved in I wrongly assumed I’d only have a single person or a couple living above with it being a one bed flat I was so wrong) has anyone had extremely noisy neighbours? How do you cope?

Yes, kids can help it-and if they're too young, their parents can.
We were always made to consider other people. At one point I lived in flats in Glasgow-very busy, lots of families, including people with complex needs, and all of us were made to consider other people.
Only mentioning Glasgow as people sometime tell me where I lived was known for trouble (not far from a famous "The" area) yet we weren't allowed to do this.

If they're renting, at least you should have some comeback. Go to your local council environmental health department and start a noise complaint - they get you to keep a log of all noise. My Mum had gods own game with an ignorant family that moved next door to her, but persistence was the key and eventually the landlord got fed up with the letters from the council. The noise was horrendous - kids up at 6am banging and slamming doors, screaming, and bedtime was a rarity before midnight.
