Any advice broken fridge

We bought our fridge 5 years ago fairly budget brand no longer under warranty and it’s stopped cooling. It’s currently at 10 degrees. The company will do a call out but it will be £90 for call out and £100 if they can fix it so £190 in total. That includes any parts unless it’s the compressor in which case it will be more. (Don’t know how much a compressor is but believe it to be around £150-300) so potentially £390 total.
I’ve rang a few local companies and they are around £100 for call out/labour plus parts.

Ive priced mid range fridges at around £600

Do I try to fix it or get new?

Take a look at marketplace if you can't afford a new one just now, fridges are pretty cheap at argos, ao and currys

Our compressor has just gone this week! We were told it's not worth it. Got a new one on AO!
(Editing to say appliance repair guy said around 6 years is about right for budget brands, ours is a 6 year old fridgemaster)

Thanks do you know how much compressor is? (I appreciate it will vary but just a rough idea)

Sorry I didn't even ask! He said it's such a cheap brand it's not worth it but mine was very cheap, think it was 100 new!!
