Please recommend me a monitor to plug my laptop into

Hello

Sorry for the boring thread.

Can anyone recommend a monitor that's EASY to plug your laptop in and out of? Not one that goes nuts every time.

Something that has a nice big easy to use power on/off button as well. Not a tiny nubbin in an awkward place that my wee fingers cannae find!

Thanks

Docking station?

How would a docking station help when OP wants a screen?

The docking station is connected to a screen. Much easier when connecting several peripherals.

Need to know a wee bit more about what you actually want it for.

If it's just going to be frequently wired up to your laptop and then unhooked, then a power button isn't really here nor there because the screen will shut off any time you close or disconnect the laptop, and power up any time you connect and boot it. If you are leaving your desk but don't want to shutdown/reboot every time then it's easy to set up a one-button instant "sleep" and wake-up.

Do you want in-built speakers? Is it just for doing clerical stuff or do you need a decent resolution/refresh/response for playing games as well? Are you going to run it dual-display, or just in lieu of the laptop screen with an external keyboard and mouse?

Thanks all.

It's just for doing office work. But I do have the occasional video call actually so yes good shout, I should get something with speakers.
