Childcare.co.uk is a weird site :-/

Over the last 4 weeks I've sent messages to 27 families who seem to be actively looking for childcare. I've had 3 responses. 17 of the messages have been left unread. However, many of the families still seem to be active with 'Last log in today' as their status. It's really weird. I'm a full member so they can reply for free. Are they fake profiles? Do other nannies who use the site have the same problem? If you're a parent who uses it, what's been your experience?

It used to be good. But now it's utter shite.

my settings are all correct, but I still get regular 'someone near you has joined.updated their profile' messages from for people a long way away looking for a daily nanny.

but what's driving me absolutely bonkers are the adverta/profiles. Absolutely NO details. Nothing. Nada.

I am a child carer on there and I find the same. Even when they message me first and I reply, they then ghost.
In 7 years or so I’ve had 2-3 babysitter jobs come to fruition.

I’ve never found it useful. I now use Bubble.
