Recommend a lovely green paint for a small south-facing office?

We are redecorating a small office- probably 2.5 x 2.5m. It has a lovely big south facing window and it’s an Edwardian house to high ceilings and coving etc.

We don’t want to spend a fortune so would colour match a boujie brand but could you recommend me a green that you’ve used that you love? Happy to go bold! Pics would be amazing if you’re happy to share! I’ve looked online and so far love F&B Bancha but also more sagey tones too.

I’m a huge fan of paint from Paint and Paper Library. We have Dulux, Farrow and Ball, and Little Green in various rooms and P&PL is the best and what we now use when re-painting to replace the others. It’s richly pigmented and hard wearing. It doesn’t need primer. You could try to colour match but I wouldn’t - the joy of their paint is the depth of the colour which makes it look a little different in different lights. Quality matters if you want it to look beautiful and last.

They have two greens I like and I think fit an Edwardian aesthetic well (our house is Edwardian too) - Greenback or Sencha. Greenback is lighter and would be great in a south facing room.

Look at COAT paints, they have a collection specifically for south facing rooms

I used dulux heritage sage green in my small office. Lovely paint that looks apple green in bright summer light and muted sage the rest of the time. I got it colour matched from a decorator centre.

(My office is north facing)

Also coming on to say COAT, you can get a few free samples or a larger pack with lots of greens, you can peel and stick them so move around the room to look at different walls in different lights.

I have F&B Cromarty in my office (Victorian house, east facing) and find it very soothing.

Our south east facing bedroom is painted in Dulux Tranquil Dawn. Lovely and restful.

I have Theresa’s green f&b (mixed up by Jonstone’s) and I love it, always get compliments on it and people asking what it is.

I agree that Paint & Paper Library have the best paints and pigments. The problem with colour matches is they change over the years. A green mix we had turned very blue as the yellow faded after a couple of years. PpL stay true to original colour.

That said, we used Homebase Limerick for a quick repaint of a guest room recently and it looks good. It's a deep, rich smokey sage that looks way more expensive than it was.

I have Little Greene Hidey Hole in my south west facing bedroom. It’s a very restful pale green.

Thank you so much everyone.

For full disclosure we will be renting our family home out soon which is why I dont want to invest in a too expensive paint currently. Some of those shades are gorgoeus so great inspo thanks!

Cromarty from F&B is lovely, and Dunelm do a colour called Willow which is very similar. I’ve only ever had their testers but online reviews are good and it’s not too expensive.
