What to do?

I have a dilemma.

We have three tiny btls in Liverpool.

All interest only mortgages. They currently bring me €1k in rent. Keeps me afloat after a divorce where I discovered exh had run up debts for which I am now partly liable.

My ex wants to sell all three. Would net about €40k for each of us after all debts are paid.

But I lose the €1k pcm income which I sorely need right now. Unless I can generate it from
elsewhere. Always looking for better paid jobs than the one I’m in now.

But the tenants are difficult. I don’t live in the U.K. so it’s hard for me to manage. I guess selling all three would make better sense. I am just anxious particularly since my ex was excellent at running up debts. For which I became party liable.

It would mean any ties to him apart from dcs are severed which would be a good thing.

After years of financial control, I am afraid.

I guess I could put the money towards my UK state pension which has large gaps due to my SAHM years.

Please advise me!

Selling sounds like a no brainer, why would you want to stay in business with him?

I don’t want to. But I need the monthly revenue. .

But you'd get a 40k lump sum?

I wiuld but given my circumstances right now would disappear quickly and I would be left with nothing. If no sale then always got the housss.

Is the divorce finalised? (Asking because you wrote after a divorce)
If it is, what he wants is irrelevant.

Not finalised yet. We have come to a financial agreement though and had been functioning on that.

So I can refuse.
