Been taking to someone on gumtree and their profile has turned red?

I believe Gumtree literally “red flags” if it detects something likely to indicate a scam in messages, such as requests for banking details, or discussing making a bank transfer or bitcoin transaction for a purchase. Ensure any purchases are carried out in person and if in doubt, ask Gumtree what the flag means.

And based on my above message, saying that there have likely been words or phrases detected in the Gumtree messages which can indicate a scam, which MN has hidden until they can take a closer look, it would appear MN also detects key words which they associate with scams!

Gumtree is scammer central. I'm amazed there are any genuine sellers or services on there.
