Swollen ankle caused by bandage

Does it matter?

I had a galion aspirated. They bound it tight afterwards and told me to keep doing that for two weeks to help prevent recurrence.

The pain I was in before has completely gone, but my ankle above the bandage is very swollen. Does it matter/is that a price worth paying for a few days?

No one? I'm loathe to remove it because I know there's a high risk of reoccurrence, but don't want to cause more harm either.

Ring and ask the place that put the bandage on?

I’m a doctor in this area. The bandage should not be too narrow - if the ganglion was in the wrist then the compression should be from mid hand to elbow to avoid swelling above the bandage. The top part ( elbow ) should be looser that the rest . You want to avoid a band like compression.

I can see that this is lower limb . Bandage needs to go from mid foot to the knee.
