Integrated dishwasher problem

My new integrated dishwasher doesn’t go far enough back to be flush with the units when the door is put on. Has anyone else had this problem? Am really fed up about it. Can I buy a front to go on it so that it looks like freestanding? Am so disappointed!

Our latest is similar and alignment not quite flush. The one it replaced was only five years old or so and this was same brand/equivalent model. You get used to it.

Return it and get one which is however many mm shallower?

We had this with a Miele washing machine. Miele makes big and heavy units and the depth was 600mm which is the same as the cabinet units. At first it did not go fully back but with some work (you need to make sure it is flush against the wall so no cables in way) and it will work.

It’s been installed badly.

If you do try to move it back, make sure you check the instruction manual, I know it sounds silly, but a lot of them the back legs are on a complicated system so they can be adjusted from the front and if you put too much shearing pressure on them (by pushing the machine without raising the legs) they can snap. The one in our old house had this and it meant we could not do any repairs which involved pulling the entire unit out.
