How to celebrate paying off mortgage

We’ll have paid off our mortgage next year. Those who have, did you do anything to celebrate? I’m thinking a weekend away including a Michelin restaurant, but interested in ideas.

We had a chippy tea and a beer!

We paid ours off a year ago. Nobody knows and we didn't celebrate. We just wanted rid of the thing. Next up; what's left of our PCP loan.

Similar here!

It’s a big moment but for us it was about saving money, not suddenly deciding to spunk it away on a celebration. Seems counter intuitive!

My friend and her DH paid off their mortgage and he celebrated by compiling a to do list on FB for the day ….which included ‘Pay Off Mortgage’ tick. Cringey
