Looking for a film suggestion for tonight

to watch with a young teen and tween. Movies that they’ve enjoyed before include the Bourne trilogy, Enemy of the State, Oceans Eleven, The Client and Speed.

Anyone have any recommendations for entertaining movies along those sorts of lines? Thank you 🙂

Hidden figures or big hero six.... love both films!

martha4clark · 07/03/2026 17:40

The Martian (Matt Damon), Captain Philips (Tom Hank)

MeanwhileTime · 07/03/2026 17:41

Ah yes we’ve seen both f those. Great suggestions though, especially Hidden Figures. They’d rather not watch something animated.

Another great couple of suggestions, thank you. And we’ve seen both of those too 😆. The Martian was much loved.

Any of the Jurassic park or Jurassic world films

DreamingOfGeneHunt · 07/03/2026 17:43

Downsizing is good (on Netflix I think)

Devilsmommy · 07/03/2026 17:44

If they enjoyed oceans 11 did you watch 12, 13 or 8?

martha4clark · 07/03/2026 17:49

Shawshank Redemption, Top Gun, The Truman Show.

Hancock (Will Smith)

My teens enjoyed this one.

Maze Runner

Ferris Buelers Day Off (an oldie but goodie and everyone should see this at least once) 😂

Shawshank Redemption, Top Gun, The Truman Show.

I think Top Gun is too risqué but the sequel went down very well this end

mine love Free Guy.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 07/03/2026 17:53

Point Break
Terminator 2

Ilikewinter · 07/03/2026 17:54

Fall guy??

FionnulaTheCooler · 07/03/2026 17:55

The Fall Guy with Ryan Gosling is good if they like action films with lots of stunts.

martha4clark · 07/03/2026 17:55

Hunger Games, Divergent

MeanwhileTime · 07/03/2026 18:06

Those are all brilliant suggestions thank you. Sadly they’ve seen (and loved) most of them 😂l bothTop Guns and Free Guy were particular favourites. Might check out Ferris Bueller for something different and a trip down memory lane for me though!

We watched Air Force One and Daylight with ds14 recently both a bit cheesy but good.
Other recent movie nights were JoJo Rabbit and Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and King Arthur (guy Ricthie one).
We are watching either Everest or Speed tonight.
It hard to films for this age group.

Whowahway123 · 07/03/2026 18:08

Catch me if you can (but there may be one risqué scene from mind..)
