It hurts so much!

I take Doxycycline (the worst culprit). Tuesday night I took a Doxy tablet before bed (obviously big mistake and I assumed I'd been sat up long enough). I woke in the night with awful chest pain, I feel breathless and as if something is pushing on my chest. Also my chest hurts.

I'm on day 3 and it's getting worse! Swallowing is so painful. I have struggled to eat as every mouthful is so painful. It's worse today than yesterday. I know there's nothing to be done and it's not serious and will heal but how long will it take? It's getting worse not better.
Plus I've barely slept in 3 days because being in bed makes the pain worse and I wake up breathless.

From your GP you can ask for something that will help soothe it.

@justasking111 I thought about that but it doesn't seem like there is much they can do. From reading up on it, they can prescribe meds such as Omeprazole, however we have some in the house that I've taken but it's not helped. Nor have painkillers unfortunately. I'm just hoping I can sleep tonight.
