Picture uploaded, does anyone have a Nissan and has ever seen this light before ? The manual says it can be the electronic parking brake malfunction light but I'm not sure why it would be on!
Has anyone has this?
Will be calling Nissan if it continues Monday

Purely a guess.

One is handbrake sign, the other is a spanner, therefore your handbrake needs adjusting.

It's not a big job and you can do it yourself if you are the type of person who can do your own oil filters etc. Five minute job.

Edit - it needs adjusting because your brake pads are wearing down.

Thanks @INeedAnotherName , its an electronic handbrake so I'm guessing a trip to nissan is in store.
I just went out to the car and turned it on and the light didn't come on so I'm hoping it's just a blip (or at least something covered under warranty)

I had the parking brake warning light on intermittently in a qashqai. When I drove off and the autobrake released it felt a bit uneven like it was only releasing from 3 of the wheels (not sure thats how it works but its how it felt). When I drove though it was normal so wasn't that the brake had been left on the last wheel but that it hadn't engaged properly in the first place. Basically if I parked up and the light came on I would turn the car off, wait a minute, turn it back on and then release and re engage the handbrake and the light would disappear. Ive never been able to get it fixed because its intermittent so obviously never happens at the garage!

Exactly the same thing for me. Intermittently comes on, and I wonder if the handbrake hasn't quite come off properly. Usually turning the car off and on makes it go away. Occasionally, it lasts a few days but then goes again.

Thanks! Am hoping it's just a blip
The car is only 2.5 years old and it's so hard getting around when a car is in the garage
