Any experience if Ganglion removal?

I have one on my foot, causing tremendous pain, presumably because of something it's pressing on rather than the cyst itself.

I have a private podiatry consultants appointment at the weekend. I'm assuming they'll drain it as a first option, will that give immediate relief?

Honestly, for something the NHS won't treat because it's "harmless" the pain is excruciating.

I had one removed on the NHS but it was about 40 years ago, it was trapping nerves and gave instant relief when removed. It was an absolutely huge one and on my wrist and was cut out, I still have a tiny scar.

I had one removed from my finger where it joins onto the hand. The op was pretty minor and the relief of having it gone was amazing

I had one on the inside of my left hand, and struggled to change gear in the car. 🤢 This was a good 25 years ago.

It was drained and the relief was immense. It didn’t come back! I do have a few around each wrist. Not sure what my options will be if they become troublesome.

Oh and bashing with a bible old wives tale doesn’t work in my humble opinion. 🤗

If I were you I’d keep making a fuss with your GP. Good luck!

I've been so tempted to try the bible, but all the advice is don't!
