Tracking flight

I am trying to track a flight on Thursday. But Gatwick won't allow me to track that far ahead. Any ideas?

What is it you are trying to track? If it's a Thursday flight it won't have taken off yet.

What do you want to know about it? Flight number? Type of aircraft? Expected take off or landing times?

GarlicFound · 04/03/2026 02:33

I was going to suggest a time machine 😆 But presumably you don't mean 'track', so @xyzandabc's questions are sensible.

I am trying to see if it is still going ahead and flying

When I rang, my travel agency they were able to look and tell me whether or not the flight was still scheduled to go to the but when I look, I can't see anything because it won't allow me to look this far ahead and I guess travel agents have different methods of searching.

I just wanted to search myself rather than asking the travel agents because I didn't want to appear as an anxious person.

Have you tried the website of the airline you're booked with? Their flight statuses might go further into the future. Even better if you can find your specific booking on there or on their app as it will likely give a status for it. Good luck! I hope all goes ahead as planned.

Monty27 · 04/03/2026 03:05

I would imagine if there's any issues with the flight they'll let you know in advance. In the meantime proceed as normal.

Depending on the airline it might not show as being cancelled until 24 hours before. My Friday flight was showing as scheduled until last night when it was cancelled.
If its a flight via the Middle East nothing can bec100% confirmed as the situation can change so quickly.

Bjorkdidit · 04/03/2026 04:07

This is a 'no news is good news' situation.

If the airline says its scheduled then you can safely assume it's going ahead unless told otherwise. I don't know what you think the travel agent can add.

Obviously any time between now and take off time it could be cancelled, or seriously delayed, possibly at very short notice eg due to the situation in the ME or the weather.

There's been many occasion when people have been on the plane ready to go and word has come through that the flight can't go ahead or in extreme circumstances turned around in the air.

Even the airline won't have any more information at this time.
