Hey lovely mumsnetters so I’m awake and despite trying everything I can to get to sleep I’m wide awake, I think it’s a culmination of loss financial pressure and work stuff but it’s so hard to switch off, anyone else get this ?

Awake here OP, I'm sorry you are having a hard time at the moment.

I am listening to an audiobook to try to distract my brain from all the stuff I need to deal with tomorrow.

Itsenoughnow · 03/03/2026 04:42

Oh I hadn’t thought of an audio book I might give that a go, I really hope things get better for you thanks so much for responding it feels lonely at times like this

I’m awake too, searching for my next audio book. Everything is worse in the night isn’t it.

Rormorethy · 03/03/2026 04:55

I'm up too. Worrying about my job as I'm desperate to leave but can't. Are you up for the day or going to try and get back to sleep?

SM33 · 03/03/2026 04:59

I’m also awake - menopause is horrendous. Frequently wake up around this time usually it’s because I’m anxious about something.

Swimming?

flapjackfairy · 03/03/2026 05:16

I have a child with complex medical needs so I am often up in the night. The day started at 3.15 for me as I couldn't get back to sleep after that. I am also prone to overthinking in the wee small hours. Alarm goes in 30 mins now anyway ! Hope others are snoozing peacefully again

Regular occurrence. Wide awake at 4am . Feel like I could get up and do a days work . Can't as it would wake the whole house. So try white noise or audio lecture.

Neurodiversitydoctor · 03/03/2026 05:25

Up to do my Yoga before starting my day, need to be on 7:15 train. Alarm goes @ 5:15 on Weekdays
