Im meant to be going to australia tomorrow but flights ca called due to middle east air strikes.. i have been offered another flight from Singapore.Airlines, but it costs quite a lot more.If I go now, I just want to ask, would anybody pay the extra?Or wait until later, in the year end, go again.When the extra fair is cheaper

No, what the agent was saying is that qatar airlines are not flying so if I use Singapore airlines, they are not cancelling but it costs more to fly with them at the moment. It was suggested that if I wait until August or September, then still go via Singapore but by then the fare would have dropped and it would be much cheaper so she was trying to save me money. I said I do not want to wait until then because ive got my heart set on going now and even if it's more expensive than august or September my need of a holiday now far outweighs the cost, and ive been quite stressed about a few things and tge holiday will help me to recharge and come back refreshed, so I paid the extra

Singapore airlines are fab.

My brother is supposed to fly on Saturday, Australia via Singapore. He’s just received an email from the airline saying cancellation is a possibility.
I would pay op, you need your holiday so go for it and enjoy.

How much more are you talking? Can they refund you fully now?

Im not getting a refund. I am paying £800 more to fly via Singapore as I really need to go. If my mum was still alive she would tell me I was stupid to do it. However, she always said I was stupid whatever I did and we never saw eye to eye
