Hi I have an appointment at VFS to renew DD's British Passport from overseas. Online method is not available here. Me and My husband both are UK citizens by Naturalisation. Documents I am sending:
Application form
Payment form
Full colour copy of her first passport (taking original with me to appointment)
Her Birth Certificate
Our Marriage Certificate
Copy of My and DH brish passport(photo page only)

Do I need address proof or any documents containing address and name??
Or any other documents?
DD will be 5 years old in few weeks

Do you need a copy of her other passport if she's dual? English translation of all relevant foreign docs? Your naturalisation certificate? If you want to be really paranoid, DH's mother's birth certificate. I don't think you can really prove address for a 5 year old, unless you send her baby library card!

Do they not tell you what documents to bring?
If it was a renewal done in the UK all that would be needed would be the old passport, a new photo and a person acting as a countersignature who declares they have known the parent for 2 years and can identify the child that the new passport is for.

From overseas, the list is hopeless and includes the kitchen sink. In mandatory for applying for a first passport it includes naturalisation certificates, adoption certificates and grandparents marriage certificates, none of which are labelled as "if applicable". You only actually need most of the documents requested in special cases.

She doesn't have dual citizenship, Only British. And for address proof, I am taking our health card where all 3 of us are included in the same policy with current address. I hope that much id enough. She was Born in England and we were in UK for 20+ years. We are currently traveling for some work but need to get her passport renewed asap.
