Anyone else watching/listening on BBC 2?
Loving all the songs but having just heard
Pulp's Something Changed, which reminded me of an article I read last year

So has any song made a profound difference to your life? Would love to hear about it!

My cultural awakening: a Pulp song made me realise I was in love with my best friend

I was too afraid to confess my feelings and be rejected, until hearing Jarvis Cocker’s words gave me a moment of clarity

He's always Mickey Bubbles in this house. We feel it undermines his immense sense of self importance.

murasaki · 28/02/2026 22:51

Loving Kiefer here. But then I've always loved him.

IntelligentInputDarling · 28/02/2026 22:51

Omg did I just manifest Kiefer Sutherland by calling out 'Vampire' ?
The Lost Boys was a true 80s classic and KS as the head vampire was 👌

If you can manifest Kiefer, can you send him over to me please. Thanks in advance 🤣

Whitesnake and Anastacia. Genius. I might wake up dp by singing along.

shellyleppard · 28/02/2026 23:01

Just watched Alison moyet sing absolute beginners....wow it gave me goosebumps!? Same with kiefer Sutherland.. what a voice!!!
Such a good program!

SpottyAlpaca · 28/02/2026 23:04

That arrangement & performance of ‘Too Lost in You’ was absolutely wonderful.

Such a great song by Diane Warren. Sugababes were so underrated, musically & vocally.

murasaki · 28/02/2026 23:06

Not loving Rod, he looks like an extra Chuckle Brother with more hair.

IntelligentInputDarling · 28/02/2026 23:11

@SpottyAlpaca they're on again!

@murasaki Rod Chuckle 😂

I swear Keisha must have a picture in the attic. They all look good, but she looks so young.

BaronessBomburst · 28/02/2026 23:13

Sugababes are just not feisty enough for Flowers.

IntelligentInputDarling · 28/02/2026 23:13

Keisha smashed it as Moth in The Masked Singer.
Such a beautiful voice

Love love love these two. Excellent song choice for them.

BaronessBomburst · 28/02/2026 23:20

She looks fantastic, one of those women who look better as they age.

murasaki · 28/02/2026 23:27

RagnBone man has such a lovely voice, it always surprises me.

IntelligentInputDarling · 28/02/2026 23:28

I have not heard this song for years!

Me neither. I like SEB's version. And her dress.

murasaki · 28/02/2026 23:33

Bono makes me want to punch the TV. I've still not forgiven him for infecting my iTunes with that album he forced on everyone that seemed impossible to delete. The egotistical twat.

The Edge has a good line in hats.

When you think of all the amazing musicians who are dead and yet Bono still walks amongst us, and flies his hat across the Atlantic by private jet.

That is all there is to say about U2.

(Edited as it turned out I did have another thing to say...)

Ed Sheeran is wonderful singing this.

When artists cover each other’s songs they definitely bring something extra, and you see the song differently.

Totally agree with you. I bought this single on a french exchange when I was 13, and it turns out I still know all the words. Ed did a great job, and a different one, but it worked.

A small village outside Tours for me, but a good summer.

You need some real pipes to take this on, Pink has got it.

Bigknivesmakemenervous · 28/02/2026 23:43

Not been watching long but loved Ed Sheeran and Rag n bone man.
James blunt was bad and U2 was dull.
Loving Pink.

IntelligentInputDarling · 28/02/2026 23:43

Oooh what a tune ❤️
