How much is dog sitting?

If you had someone come to stay at your house for 2 nights to look after your dog, how much do you pay? Is £180 about right/ too cheap/ too expensive? Lincolnshire area.

Too much. About half that in London. Look at rover. Often no payment on trusted housesittters

Thank you, that’s really helpful! It’s for my mum, the kennels won’t take her dog any more due to age apparently, and her friend offered to stay for 2 nights for £180! Which I thought was a rip off. And that Rover site proves it! I’ll share with her, thank you.

There are some variables that change the price, the more rural the home is usually increases the price (supply & demand) so that may be why the above person states London is cheaper, what time of year its is (school holidays can increase the price) the number on dogs, how many walks (if any) the dog needs etc.

I live in a city in Yorkshire and out of school holidays with one dog it’s about £50 a night, so £100 for 2.

Stay in or just visit?

If I babysat dogs spending time off work it would be a more than fair payment .
