Hair dye shampoos - which do you recommend, and which to avoid?

Just that really! I keep seeing hair dye shampoos on Instagram (ones you use regularly to keep greys at bay) but I've heard some can be damaging to your hair.

If you've tried them, which do you like?

I’ve used a few, Bleach London blue or silver shampoo, Aldi dupe blue shampoo and conditioner etc. they’re all much of a muchness, but I always mix them with an ordinary shampoo as I don’t want my hair actually turning blue! I am completely grey.

Can you share some names because John Frieda discontinued Defy Grey which worked for me. I need something new. I bought Just For Men (?) Control GX to try but haven’t started it yet.

The John Freida ones left my hair sticky and limp. I do have fine hair so they might work for someone with thick hair.

I swear by John Frieda Defy Grey - you can still get it on Amazon.

I use Plantur 39 brown, which works really well for my hair, my greys look like subtle highlights - but I know a lot of people don’t get on with it.
