Just that really.

I didn’t say it was forever? Just that while I am lucky to enough to be those things, it is the most life affirming feeling. And a big part of that is it can’t be taken away by others and is generally a private thing I do for myself. I never document my exercise / healthy eating / supplements / fitness goals on social media. Contributes hugely to my sense of self-worth.

Have you always been slim and fit or did you sort out a healthier way of life?

Watching the birds, spring flowers, spring sunshine, a good cup of tea, a real fire and a good book. The love of a cat.

In general, just thoughts about my kids. Knowing my eldest has overcome her eating disorder. Knowing they are all in happy relationships. Knowing we all look out for each other.

You spoilt it with the typo at the end. Should have said dog not cat

😂 I’ve never had a dog but I do agree that would also be most excellent.

My two children, 100%.

Finally applying for my divorce (only been 8 years). I didn't think it would make much difference after 8 years but I've not stopped smiling since I applied two weeks ago.

Other than that I love being out in nature, and when my cats when they want a cuddle and they just snuggle up. That is pure contentment..

A tent and being able to drive.

Oh my god! My answer is "my dog and the car!". Love our walks together in the countryside and by the beach.

Walking in the natural world. Any walking, anywhere - but the absolute highlight was two days hiking across the Grand Canyon (from South rim to North rim). An unforgettable experience that I feel very privileged to have had.

Travel and wandering through the streets of a new foreign city alone, with nowhere I need to be and no particular destination in mind.

Me too!

sugarandcyanide · 28/02/2026 17:27

Travel, my dogs, walks in the mountains with my husband, good food.

I love sitting in the sun for the last hour or two of the day after a day exploring or working in the garden and then watching the sunset with a nice cold drink.

There's no feeling like it to an intinerant soul. I spent a large part of my life doing this. Being alone somewhere far away gives me a particular feeling like no other, a kind of freedom I can't get anywhere else.

My little son sleeping curled up next to me, both of us wrapped in a cocoon of pure love, warm and safe, also gives me a feeling of immense peace and contentment. I wish I could freeze time on these moments.

My son, nature & being able to go food shopping without checking prices! This is not a brag & I shop in Lidl but I was from a very poor background & have had to watch the pennies most of my life but I can now go & do my food shop without mentally having to add it up as I go & I never take it for granted.

Having two way conversations with my subconscious. It's fab!

CoralOP · 28/02/2026 17:32

Landing in another country ready to soak it all in.
A clean, fresh smelling house, especially if I am in it alone (which is rare).
Walking my dog along the beach on a warm evening.

Bufftailed · 28/02/2026 17:34

Me, DC, dog relaxing together. Blissful. Dog walks in nature.

muddyford · 28/02/2026 17:35

Working my Labrador on a local shoot. Out in the countryside for eight hours, nice lunch, then at the end of the day walking back down to the car, with two brace of pheasants and a very tired dog.

AngelinaFibres · 28/02/2026 17:40

Watching my husband with his grandchildren . They think the sun shines out of him.
