My daughter my husband
Financial security of not needing to worry if the bills are higher than normal or if DD needs something it's not needing to wait until payday.

Wildviolet · 28/02/2026 15:29

Cats and ponies.

Helpitsoutofshape · 28/02/2026 15:31

Taking my dogs out and seeing them loving life. It’s like they think every day is the best day ever.

Another tedious thread where the OP can't be bothered to make conversation.

Hmm that’s kinda an unnecessary rude/mean comment really. I asked it because I’m interested in what makes people happy, and I’m struggling a bit to find that in my life, so looking to see what others have found. But whatever - you do you.

Dogs.

FormFiller · 28/02/2026 15:33

My children. They give me so much happiness.

Nothing comes close to it.

FeelingALittleWoozyHere · 28/02/2026 15:42

Sobriety and knowing how much better my life is now

Walking in nature with a podcast

Putting on a horror film with candles and blankets and a cup of tea. My happy place

Cuddling my kids when they are sleepy

Disturbia81 · 28/02/2026 15:42

Getting older

lordun · 28/02/2026 15:43

Being with my family and when we’re all together
Spending time with really good friends

Cliched but true and I realise it more the older I get

Crushed23 · 28/02/2026 15:46

Being thin, fit, toned, strong and flexible.

There is no better feeling, and no one can take it away.

DemonsandMosquitoes · 28/02/2026 16:18

Family holidays, just the four of us.

Interested whether you have always been like that or did you sort out a healthier way of life?

Daisy54 · 28/02/2026 16:26

Being surrounded by nature, and my daily mat Pilates’ session.

My faith, without a doubt. God is my constant companion and friend.

Me too. He will never leave me nor forsake me.

Chesapeakeshores · 28/02/2026 16:38

Pottering about in my garden instead of being at work

Lucky you. ‘They’ can’t, but your own body/life changing illness/accidents can.

Getting into nature as much as possible (I do have a life-limiting illness), my animals, making art.

Chickoletta · 28/02/2026 16:40

Definitely the people in my life - DH, kids, Mum and close friends.

Other than that, I’d say my garden. It’s a lot of work (2.5 acres) but my absolute sanctuary.

Errolwasahero · 28/02/2026 16:41

Oh! And music. I have a ‘happy’ playlist - always works!

MabelAnderson · 28/02/2026 16:41

Being outside. It can be anywhere, cities as much as the countryside. I just feel better out of doors.

Comeonthenspring · 28/02/2026 16:56

Walking in the woods by my house with Dh, Dd & Ddog

Swimming in the sea at sunset-especially after a glass of wine-best feeling ever

My Dd, especially when she was even littler (7 now)

Good books, music & films

Travelling and waking up in a new place

Spending time with family

Laughing with a good friend

Good food

I didn’t say it was forever? Just that while I am lucky to enough to be those things, it is the most life affirming feeling. And a big part of that is it can’t be taken away by others and is generally a private thing I do for myself. I never document my exercise / healthy eating / supplements / fitness goals on social media. Contributes hugely to my sense of self-worth.

LaurieFairyCake · 28/02/2026 17:05

Finally having my own pack of dogs, always one wanting to cuddle
