CD onto USB - probably dumb question

If I don’t have a CD player or laptop with CD option, how do I get a CD of music onto a USB or online? Are there shops that do this?! I feel like my gran.

most modern pcs you can get an external cd/dvd drive that connects to the usb port then with modern audio cds the computer can rip / copy the tracks to audio files on your laptop or pc and then you can put the tracks onto a usb stick
