Something shocking you've watched recently

I started watching the Storyville documentaries because of the Winter Olympics ('Price of Gold' which covers the 1994 scandal between the figure skaters Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan) which led me to the episode called 'The Contestant'.

Really shocking that this was allowed, and for that length of time.
There are so many titles available on BBC iplayer so I may yet uncover something
more disturbing!

What have you watched recently that has shocked you?

A Netflix drama originally shown on Channel 5 "starring" Ross Kemp about a woman who witnesses a murder.

Shocking from start to finish.

My favourite ever Storyville is The Baby and the Buddha, about a Tibetan Buddhist monk’s search for the baby that is, he believes, the reincarnation of his dead master.

Storyville is so good. That doc @ExitPursuedByABareArse is one of the best. I watched the dark web one last weekend. Amazing film. Hard watch but what those people do to investigate and their committment..wow. it was v moving.

There’s also a wonderful, much more recent one about lifers in San Quentin jail training for and running a marathon in the prison yard.

Three Netflix Documentaries. American Nightmare. Girl in the Picture and Into the Fire: The Lost Daughter.

I watched Don’t F*ck with Cats. I already knew a lot of what happened, and I’ve got quite a strong stomach, but ugh.

Dirty Business on C4.

I knew a lot of the content already but not the extent of it. It’s absolutely disgraceful.

I know it was a few years ago now but the series about the post office scandal shocked me to the core and those poor people still don’t have justice.
