An apology to other members

It's been drawn to my attention that a previous username I was using referred to a much loved previous mumsnetter who died of cancer. I had changed my username to make a previous post about a casual situation I was in with a man - i.e. 'a bit of fun'

I've only been on MN on and off for about two years, never came across this poster, and honestly had no idea - so apologies to anyone I may have offended. It was a genuine mistake.

However, being called creepy and being accused of appropriating this name deliberately is really unfair and hurtful when I had no idea this person ever existed.

You are forgiven, shit happens.

Not on here...somewhere else where they love to talk about MN. Where they apparently don't laugh at vulnerable people despite them taking the constant piss out of me for days on end. I've been open about my MH struggles but guess the hypocritical rules don't always apply.

I genuinely had no idea that someone else had used that name previously, or that they'd died, I just changed my name to reflect the situation I was asking advice about.
