Doing some future family planning and I want to get an idea please of what people are paying their nursery per month. I know all nurseries apply the funding different so looking for an average I suppose. I would be looking to use the nursery for 8-4 to fit in with current job hours and school drop offs. 3 or 4 days a week so mainly interested in these please :)

Far too many variables….council or private nursery….where do you live

Mine are well past the nursery stage but just to flag - if the nursery day is 8-6 (very typical) then you will probably have to pay for a full day, not just the hours 8-4, as the nursery wouldn’t be able to fill the space 4-6pm

You would be better looking at the price list of nurseries in your area surely?
Cost of living varies across the country. Someone telling you how much they pay in Scotland or Bradford isn’t going to help if you’re in London.

Ours is around £80 a day so without funding it’s about £650 for two days a week a month. PP is correct - nurseries do charge for the day irrespective of when you drop off / pick up.

My DC is due to start nursery in September. The cost for 3 full days a week (8am - 6pm) with the 30 funded hours is £260 per month. We are based in Birmingham. I hope this helps.

Definitely an impossible question without more specific information - Google could be the answer.
I know people who pay anything from £47 to £115.

If using a nursery you’ll probably have to pay for a full day rather than 8-4, it’s usually paid in sessions so if you use part of a session you pay for it all. The nursery we use sessions are 8-1 and 1-6.

For four days with funding, it is £587.50 in SE London.

We’re in the South East and for 4 full days, after funding and tax free childcare we pay £800 a month, which includes all nappies, food, sun cream, activities.

4 days pw including everything for full days and with funded hours for 1 yo is £790 per month.
