been helping my uncle with his pip mandatory reconsideration. dwp called him today to ask if he had any more evidence he would like to send, he said yes he does have more he would like to send and the guy said 'oh, there's no point you sending anything' then said he was making a decision today.

has anyone else had this? he has a lot more evidence he had been waiting to get copies of etc and was told not to send any of it..

I'm out of date, but don't think they have to consider new evidence for a MR.

There's a high chance he'll be denied, meaning the next step is an appeal to tribunal. He should have all his evidence organised for this and send a copy ahead of time to the panel. Get advice on that. I failed to realise the tribunal is an actual court process and was at a serious disadvantage.

On the other hand, the assessor may have been satisfied already and grant his award. Fingers crossed for you both!
