Injectables

Ok, I think I’ve had most of the injectables going so he’s my run down.

Botox - 💯 worth it.
Under eye skin boosters - I’ve tried Lumi eyes, polynucleotides and sunkenos and I don’t rate any of them. Haven’t helped with darkness nor lines so won’t be investing in those further.
Skin boosters - Seventh Hyal is great for hydration, Lumi pro / Lumi pro I didn’t rate but I did really like Inbiotec Amber. That helped with acne scaring I had and redness.
Fillers - I have had nose filler and lips and less is definitely more but I would recommend those if you have problem areas.
Profilio / Profilio structure - not different to cheaper skin boosters on the market in my opinion so save your money.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Interesting; I’ve never had any injectables, just never thought of it - I’m nearly 60 and simply don’t care much about my appearance. Anyway, from your perspective, has the “journey” been worth the time & money that you have invested in yourself?

thenightsky · 23/02/2026 16:34

Profhilo was a waste of money for me too. Didn't notice even a tiny result.
Botox is brilliant.
I'm half way through Scuptra, so won't see much of a result before the end of March.

Wha is Botox actually for and how does it feel after it’s done?

Don’t you worry about what you’re putting into your skin?

bigyellowtractorface · 23/02/2026 16:39

What is sculptra?

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 23/02/2026 16:40

I’ve seen celebs like Gemma Collins who have all this done and if anything they look worse. I think she’s stopped Profhilo anyway.

I do worry how insecure do you have to be about your looks to resort to this. I don’t need to. Not bragging just got good genes. Only issue is jaw sagging and 11s but at 54 I’d expect that.

Yes and no, some things have made a difference to my how I feel and my confidence, mainly Botox and lip filler. I don’t feel like I’ve gone over the top but I guess others would disagree.

it gets rid of lines and wrinkles. It doesn’t really feel any different to me but obviously I can’t really move my forehead much when it’s kicked in but it doesn’t really feel like you can’t if that makes sense.

Botox can be for lots of things, excessive sweating and migraines.

@thenightsky would love an update

SittingNextToIt · 23/02/2026 20:04

Why, OP?

bigyellowtractorface · 23/02/2026 16:39

What is sculptra?

Sculptra stimulates collagen and restores skin foundation and volume loss. It’s essentially a skin booster but helps more with wrinkles too.

Have you ever had a treatment for marionette lines that you would recommend?

Rainbowbeginings · 23/02/2026 20:08

SittingNextToIt · 23/02/2026 20:04

Why, OP?

Honestly, I started with Botox and liked how it looked and the confidence it gave me and then went on to try the other things.

No, but I think the go to is usually Botox for that area.

@maskymask**

I get my third and final session in mid March, so results should show around 4 weeks after that. My aesthetic person has taken before pics so i'll try to update you if I remember.

Johnogroats · 23/02/2026 21:17

How old are you? And do you think you’ll keep injecting forever?

Overthebow · 23/02/2026 21:19

Are you worried about getting ‘pillow face’ in a few years once the filler starts to move? Happened to lots of people including celebrities and doesn’t look good.

DailyEnergyCrisis · 23/02/2026 21:25

Any experience of Radiesse? Agree about Botox being really effective.

I’m 39. I’ll keep injecting the things I know work like Botox and Imbiotec Amber. The rest I probably won’t do again.

It’s been 2 years since I had my lips done and I’m hoping that lasts a bit longer. I’ve only had a small bit of filler in my nose so hopefully that won’t move. I think cheek / under eye filler is what moves around so I’ll steer clear of those.

What’s imbiotec amber?!

bigyellowtractorface · 27/02/2026 19:01

Sorry ignore that! Have just re-read your op.

bigyellowtractorface · 27/02/2026 19:06

I have had filler and Botox. Small amounts of filler think it is subtle enough to be well…subtle.

Have had lumi pro and not seen a difference but you are meant to have it once a month for 3 months and have not done that.

i fancy some kind of dermaforce type thing but can’t make my mind up. I don’t like the sound of exosomes. Sounds too experimental.
