Has anyone regretted leaving their job

Hi im wondering please has anyone ever left a job for a new job, but found that it wasn't what they were expecting it to be 🙈😔 ... next question is has anyone ever attempted to return to their previous employer?

I left my old job for my current job and really regret it. My old job is a massive step down and I would never move up further if I went back. I try to think of this current job as a stepping stone to what’s next. Would that work?

Maybe yes. But there were reasons I left the job.
