Been holding baby up for nearly an hour. Has s cold so horribly congested when lying down.

Need to stay awake holding him.which was easy when his breathing through was awful and snorty. Now he's been up for a bit it's aettler and he's sleeping peacefully on me. Can't fall asleep as would be very unsafe position.

Why are you awake? Keep me entertained. 😀

You need to sleep too, put him down or Google safe co sleeping positions. If you don't get some sleep how can you stay awake when he's awake. Girl you need a big sleep too. I used to sleep with my baby on my chest, I imagine that's not advised these days. I swear I didn't ever get into deep sleep, I would wake up in the same position holding her as I knew in my sleep she was there. Can you prop the top of the cot up and put some white noise on.. Pat him to sleep maybe?

Both my dc slept on my chest most of the time ( ages 4 & 2).

Hope your bub feels better soon. 💐

I agree on the switching to a safe co sleep position! You need some zzz! My 1 year old is wide awake for some reason - he’s normally not up til 8am but has become an early bird for the first time ever…

I slept the first part of night and will sleep when partner takes him when he next wakes.

He's really not well. He usually sleeps in next to me. He was asleep there and can sleep there but was struggling with breathing through nose when flat and was so getting distressed.

Aw in a weird way, I miss those days! I’m up for sehri (the pre dawn meal) as my son is fasting for Ramadan. I’m exempt for medical reasons. He’s just had a protein shake and porridge. We’re going back to sleep now. Or will try at least.

Ah bless him, snuffly babies, I'm glad you've had some sleep, you sound like a great team. I've been up watching the ice skating with my oldest and she's still up knitting, I'm going to bed. I would try putting him on your chest, I would wake up in exactly the same position but you know yourself best so maybe not for you. I hope you get some rest soon. Those baby years for past so fast.

I’m the one with a cold here. I’m sleeping on the recliner in the living room so I can stay as upright as possible (and so I don’t disturb/infect DH) but the meds I took before midnight have worn off so I’m waiting for more to kick in before I try to get more sleep.

I’m just hoping I’m much better in the next 24 hours. I have a gig tomorrow night then Wednesday is my youngest’s 18th birthday party (birthday is Thursday though).

My turn to sleep now :)

Hope everyone gets some rest
