Has anyone successfully used Amazon Prime today?

I've been trying to order a simple pair of tights since the early hours of this morning (Friday 20th Feb) and absolutely no delivery dates available before Monday 23rd Feb.

The delivery address is not on a remote island! Actually not far from the A1/M1 and there are Amazon depots in the area.

I've tried many brands and also tested to see if simple everyday items like chocolate or batteries are available on same day or next day delivery. All are Monday delivery dates. Nothing for today or Saturday.

I have Amazon Prime. Is this the same for everyone and normal now?

Mine appears ok. I have delivery options for today 5-10 pm, or tomorrow plus further days of the week.

I've just purchased a few items all to be delivered tomorrow.

My prime subscription said it couldn’t take payment, there is no problem at my bank! It’s not a scam, it was a email and I checked on my Prime account.

I live in Cornwall and mine has been like this since the pre Christmas rush. They don't have enough drivers to meet demand so all our amazon prime orders are delivered by royal mail currently. Seems to be a postcode lottery.

I ordered something for my MIL on Wednesday for delivery Thursday and they accepted the order and then sent an email overnight saying the delivery was delayed as they had "encountered a delay in shipping the item" she lives in North London.

I have just looked and it says arriving today - but has not been dispatched yet, so don't know if it will get there today.

I’ve noticed more and more lately that sometimes nothing is available for delivery the next day in my area - I presume it’s down to having no one to deliver in the area. I know in the run up to Xmas you need to make sure you’ve ordered by the 21st or 22nd if you want it in time.

It’s annoying because I pay for prime for the delivery aspect. I don’t use music, video, or whatever other services are included. Not a lot we can do though - obviously if it’s something we urgently need we will have to go out and buy locally. But if it’s not urgent we will just have to put up with it. I’ve noticed more and more as well with stuff that says it can be delivered the next day, on the checkout screen it is selected to be delivered the following day and usually says something like deliver on x so all parcels come together even if I have nothing else already ordered. I make a point to change it to when I want or need it as that’s the service I’ve paid for, and I’m not going to feel guilty about it - I already help them enough by using subscribe and save so a load of things are coming at the same time!

Mines fine, ordered stuff for ds last night and coming today, rural Scotland here

Mine is fine unless I try and order really late the night before - 10pm(ish) seems to be the cut off for next day. We’re rural too.

I have this same thing just happen

Sometimes I see this with smaller items, but working fine where I am- lots of things showing next day/before 1.

I placed an order one week ago, was supposed to be next day delivery. Logged on and delivery date now shows next week! No email from them on tbis and I'm in London.

Update.
Contacted bank again! No problem with my account
Phoned Amazon, they insisted it was my bank!
Phoned bank again no problem with my account, said payment had gone through, problem was with Amazon!
All sorted now!

I ordered a cat scratching post today, it will arrive tomorrow.

My order from yesterday (loo roll and vacuum bags) is coming today.

Mine has been delivered!

I’m in the Midlands and have noticed this since Christmas, mostly with pet food

Mines fine too - ordered something today which is coming from Amazon EU and it will be delivered tomorrow. I had the option to choose delivery on Monday which is called Amazon Delivery Day or something like that.

My parcel was delayed a day

Ive had 3 orders this week via Prime- none have arrived! Ordered Tuesday for Wednesday delivery- no sign of any of them, just a note on my Amazon account that delivery is late- I know!!
I contacted customer services today and said i wanted to cancel as they would arrive too late. They advisor tried, but wasn't able to because the requests were locked once the seller had dispatched. Seems its a courier problem. I was advised to refuse the delivery whenever it eventually shows up...
I hear a lot of deliveries are being made by Evri now, so I guess its no surprise parcels are late or lost...🙄
