Mine is amongst others that carbonara should only ever be made with long pasta, none of your penne, or fusili nonsense.

I think we're going to need a bigger hill

It looks like it.

Seriously? It's the beige cardigan of curries. It’s what happens when someone looks at a menu full of bold, fragrant, fire-breathing masterpieces and thinks, “No thank you, I’d prefer my dinner to taste like warm seasoned yogurt.” It’s a curry that needs to apologise for even occupying the same menu page as proper curries. No heat, no edge, no personality, just a timid, creamy squeaky whisper of “I was almost interesting once.”
Korma is what you order when you’re afraid of flavor. It takes chicken, already the most commitment phobic of proteins and drowns it in a sweet, nutty lullaby that lulls your taste buds into early retirement. Every spoonful feels like culinary bubble wrap, safe, padded, and utterly pointless. In a world of jalfrazis, baltis, rogan josh's, madras, bhuna or vindaloos that challenge you korma sits there like a participation trophy in a bowl. Gaaaaaaaaaaaahh.

Not in Birmingham in 1973. Which is when I first tasted it. Admittedly it's almost unrecognisable now.

”sigh” upper case letters in the middle of your post make your opinion no more valid!

Get yourself back to the relationship boards and comment on all the sex issue threads, seems to be more your forte. You’re much more prolific there!

Although I doubt you’ve any more knowledge on a decent sex life than you have on WLI!

Oh no, not my self-esteem! Right where it hurts. Dang, you got me. I bet your dad would beat up my dad, too. I will cry in the corner because I enjoy discussions about relationships, among many other things... You really showed me, I guess.
You are right, upper case letters in the middle of a sentence makes one look stupid.. Now, strikethrough text, that is where it is at, not even a little bit wanky. thanks for the eye-opener, friend.

Soup from a bowl should always be eaten with a soup spoon.

what else could you use to eat it??

Well I’ve never believed he was, and never will.

He literally went on TV and asked what was wrong with sharing his bed with children.

When the Neverland compound was searched following the multiple accusations, naked pictures of children were found. Apparently these were classed as "art" but not on display and kept in a separate part of the building where his accusers had said they were taken to spend time with Michael alone. Investigators said this evidence was compatible with grooming.

I get that his music is iconic.....but if some random, non-famous man was sharing his bed with children and kept a collection of naked photos of children we'd think that was fine? It's so bizarre to me that because it's MJ and he had a troubled past he gets a free pass. A lot of child molesters are victims of abuse themselves, it doesn't make it ok.

Fireworks = completely unnecessary, a waste, and actively harmful.

The hill I'll die on is I'll take my medical advice from peer-reviewed studies conducted by scientists and approved by national drug approval agencies and prescribed by doctors with medical insurance and professional standards - and not random internet posters who work in the department in a clinic.

You should only be able to vote after successfully answering a couple of questions to confirm that you know what you are voting about. We left the EU because 90% of people didn’t actually know what it would mean for the country.

To be fair, neither did the politicians...

I can’t deal with people who think he is a paedophile.

He was a paedophile AND a great artist. Just like Woody Allen. I wish I could separate the art from the artist like you but I can't.

Also, totally agree. Get rid of the fucking pointless things, they scare my pets half to death.

Go on away back to the sex threads in relationships, they really need your help!

Weird how many you comment on, but I’m sure it’s just coincidence and not that you think you actually know anything about decent sex.

Christmas cake and cheese do not belong together.

Agreed. But rich fruit cake with NO icing or marzipan is lush with Kit Calvert best Wensleydale.

However, cheese scones are an abomination.

‘I can’t bear this Americanism, we have our own word / custom’

‘I don’t like this different way of saying / doing something because it is American’

… well, anti-Americanism is still racism isn’t it, I can’t fathom how people are so comfortable expressing it.

tenrillingtonplace · 19/02/2026 19:06

Nuts in chocolate is an abomination. M&S I'm looking at you.

Not sticking to the topic discussed, and keep throwing in personal insults - colour me impressed AND surprised! (oh no, done the upper case thing again).
And again, got me, got me real good. I will certainly do some soul-searching after this, thank you.

People who don’t know the difference between utmost and upmost are not permitted to criticise their elders and betters

😆 See when you get old, if you’re not not already a coffin dodger, you will always be a condescending member of the grammar police.
