Wondering if anyone else has any experience. DD has suspected inguinal hernia, waiting to see someone at the hospital to get it confirmed. But she’s been complaining recently that it hurts to touch/press aswell as general lower tummy ache almost every day.
googling says any redness, swelling, pain ect can mean strangulation and needs urgent treatment, most of which she doesn’t have, it bulges out when she’s being active or when she’s constipated/trying to poo. But other than the ‘hurts a bit’ she doesn’t have any other signs of strangulation.
We have an appointment for mid-April to get confirmation, is it worth going back to our normal GP to check about the tenderness? Is that normal for a hernia? Unsure what they cold even do but also don’t want to not do anything when I should be? Any advice is appreciated!
