Which Greek island with a baby?

We’re looking for a Greek island to stay late June/early July with a 11 month old.

We haven’t done a beach holiday with her so unsure what main criteria would be and where would be best to go! Somewhere walkable, not too hilly & steps, decent number of restaurants to walk to and somewhere quiet without too much nightlife. I’d rather not a really busy town packed full of tourists (which we are, I know!)

We wouldn’t have a car with us which might be a bit limiting.

Any recommendations?!

Corfu. It’s the shortest flight time, won’t be as silly hot as islands further south, has some lovely beaches, it’s the greenest, easy to get around, decent health facilities, loads of hotels geared towards family holidays.

Corfu town will be lovely to spend evenings mooching with a pram and it’s close to the airport. Avoid Kavos, it’ll be full of pissed up school leavers. Have a Google of the resorts and see which one you fancy, but you may as well make it easy for yourself!

I live kos, north side of the island tigaki/marmari area
I think everywhere will be boiling that time of year though

I was also going to say Corfu because of direct flights and not being as crazy hot as some of the more southerly islands.

Kefalonia.

Took eldest when they were 18mo (have also been before having kids and with all 3 DC). Definitely my favourite Greek Island.

Another vote for Corfu

If Corfu might be the cooler island, then I'd go for that. We went to Zante years ago when DD was three, it was incredibly hot the end of May.

Given you will not have a car, maybe living in the island's center would be the best idea. And I'm thinking which islands have great centers close to the beach I think Corfu and Rhodes have the most beautiful centers. Maybe these guides could also help you chose here and here .

I’d vote for Corfu too! Have a look at Roda in the north of the island, it’s what you describe. Get a self catering apartment and you can sort out baby needs easily. So many lovely restaurants along the beach and it’s a very chilled out place. It’s flat and very family friendly.

We took ours to Kardamena in Kos, possibly busier than you’d like but not rowdy. Lovely harbour which is nice and flat for a pram

Will be hot then, so anywhere in Greece ensure they have good aircon

Roda in Corfu is lovely, I highly recommend the Pegasus Hotel. It’s set back from the main drag, so quiet, has a lovely pool area and easy, flat walking to restaurants and the beach.
