Terminal 1 at Heathrow has closed!

I am aware I am 10 years behind the times. But I am just booking flights to London for the first time since 2013.

I travelled to Heathrow a lot as a child whenever I would spend time with my mother. So I suppose that is the significance.

I feel really strangely nostalgic and a bit sad it has closed.

No real question! Anyone else feel a bit sad about it?

I share your nostalgia, I briefly worked at Heathrow and 25 years ago I remember being taken to the Queen's Building to get an airside pass. That's gone too!

It's odd how a building can leave an imprint on someone.

It’s still there though because all the baggage infrastructure is in it so you can still see some of those endless tubes from certain spots.
The new T2 is very lovely, more than makes up for it 😁
