Feeling a bit rough but not flu like just heady, sore throat a bit of a runny nose bit not major...although this is only day 3.

Have a family lunch on Sat and really want to go it will be for 4 hours tops. Wondering if there's anything I can do to get rid of it 😂 which I foubtbor at least supress it. Also whether to go at all as dont want to spread around

If it's just a mild cold and you're already on day three I'd have thought you'll be fine by Saturday.

Just do the obvious stuff - lots of fluids, sleep, vitamin C, etc.

Yeah Im drinking tons of tea, mint tea, etc and eating satsumas!!! I had flu in October so know this is a cold.

Have you tried First Defence. I think it’s worked for me before

Another vote for First Defence , has kept two cold at bay this winter .

Probably a bit late now but Vicks first defense at the very start can knock it back and stop it taking hold. If it's heading into day 4 it might make you feel uncomfortable if you took it now.

You'll probably feel much better by Saturday anyway though.

Thanks worth knowing for next time!!!
What does it do?

It kind of blocks the infection at the back of your throat and stops it developing into a cold. I’ve used it and it’s great. You need to use it as soon as you feel a tickle plus I always increase handwashing regimes, wash all my door handles (germs can hide there!) and start taking vitamins. It’s saved me a few times before holidays.

Vitamin c and zinc dissolvable tablets from tesco.
