Does anyone in / near Salford Quays know of a trustworthy garage / mechanic

My young adult DC has just started working in Salford Quays and has car troubles. A long way from home ☹️ Nobody at work can recommend a garage. So I wondered if anyone on here might know somewhere or if not then suggest a local FB page where I can do a search.

We’d be very grateful. It’s so hard when you’re at the other end of the country.

I'm about 10 minutes drive I use national tyres and automated which is part of Halfords. There's a Halfords at old Trafford. Will be garages in trafford Park too. He just needs to google. It's mainly the chains around here. The independents are driven out.

Id personally avoid the chains as I think they're usually expensive and not great. Your DC could try posting on this FB group to see if they can suggest anything? I can only recommend a couple of garages in the N outskirts of manc
