I love making lasagna but always fail to make a lump free cheese sauce. Until today. Today the sauce came out prefect, silky and lump free.

Anyone else had any unimportant but nevertheless special to you wins this half term Monday?

DS(6) went to the dentist this morning happily and didn’t cry/look terrified/scream/refuse to open his mouth as he has on every other attempt that we’ve had to get him checked out. Best of all, his teeth are totally fine and there are no cavities or anything which I’d been worried about.

My Year 11 son hates English with a passion and feels like he's terrible at it.

Despite me being an English teacher/private tutor and examiner he will not allow me to help....until today. 😁😍😁

Something made him open up and the resistance largely melted away. I feel like he's gone up a grade already! More than that - there was this sense of connection and pride as he realised that he understood a little bit better.
