Pill stuck in my throat

Bloody HRT progesterone tablets, stupid big round things which are horrible to swallow at the best of times but this bugger is well and truly stuck. Have tried masses of water (will be up all night peeing now Angry) to no avail and am now wondering whether to go downstairs and try a biscuit or a piece of bread to push it down although I don't really want to be bothered tbh. Just want to go to sleep but every time I lie down it feels like it's coming back up and might block my airway, I have to be up at 5 for work :(

I would ring 111 some pills can burn your esophagus and give you major problems lasting months. Sorry you may need to go to A&E if it’s really bad. @I’m

I eat a bit of bread and then swallow it down with a small drink of water.

Just tried that *TheAutumnCrow *and it does feel better, gonna try lying down now and see what happens, wish me luck!

Agree re bread. My pills always stick and I can't take them with just water.

warm water or a cup of tea helps dissolve it works here

They're bloody awful aren't they? Who designs tablets like this-clearly not tested thoroughly prior to being made available for public consumption.

Stick your fingers down your throat and make yourself gag. That’s worked for me in the past.
