Work Stories where difficult colleagues and bosses finally received karma.

I’m currently suffering from a toxic work setting with a sociopathic boss with a small gang of supporters. There has been a lot of industrial action but it still drags on. Does anyone have any stories that could bring me some hope?

Many years ago I was temping in a large company. I was good at my job, and they kept finding reasons why they needed to keep me. A woman in an adjoining department was incredibly and constantly bitchy to me. So much so, that I was tempted to leave. But I wanted to work in that company, and temping was an entry, so I stuck it out. About 6 months after I started temping there, she went on a month trip to her home country, so I asked the Director if I could do her job while she was away. The bitchy woman overstayed without first getting permission from our employer, and found that she had no job to return to. I, on the other hand, now had a permanent contract. 😊
