Suggestions for something to do in London with dd1, for a few hours on Tuesday?

Last weekend we walked Westminster, round Parliament, along the river, over the river, back up the other side and round past Elizabeth Tower (my directions are shit, don't follow them!). Then past Downing St, up to Buckingham Palace & then got the tube to the 02 so we knew where we're going ish tomorrow evening. And then back into Central for a couple of hours just wandering.

Dd doesn't fancy Camden market, although I think it'll be quieter on a weekday morning maybe?

Any other ideas for something to fill a few hours before I catch my Flixbus home for the rest of half term with dd2?

Where are you staying? Where does your bus leave from? Will you have luggage?

@Thelondonone staying in dd's uni accommodation in Wembley, Flixbus from Finchley Road at 5pm (I'm not opposed to a last minute & later train from KX), no luggage - travelling in my outfit tomorrow & taking jeans and jumper (and pants!) in a small bag for Tuesday that I'll carry with me if need be! Dd has everything in her accommodation, so I can pack as little as possible.

If your DD ever remembers Horrible Histories, I suggest the National Portrait Gallery where you can see the people portrayed, and then many of people still alive today. Of contemporary ones, there is a lovely one of Dame Judi Dench for example.

One of the museums/galleries? Most are free entry, and have cafes so nice for a wander round and then a coffee.

I think I would head to one of the museums or galleries. E.g V&A, British Museum

Or an alternative walk along the S Bank, taking in Borough Market, past the Golden Hinde, Globe, Tate Modern then maybe over Millenium Bridge to St Paul’s

@KeepOffTheQuinoa I've instructions from dd2 not to go near the Globe without her 🤣.

One of the museums or galleries sounds a good idea - we've done some of the V&A, maybe we should go back. Or the portrait gallery sounds fun - both girls sing Horrible Histories songs still!
