Why do some men have a foot fetish? I don't understand it

On my Instagram feed some stunning model popped up and I read the comments and the amount of men making comments about her feet. I've seen similar comments before elsewhere aswell so it certainly seems to be fetish thing with some men. Can someone explain it to me please because I just really do not understand what is sexy about feet whatsoever.

Fetish for anything it would seem. Is it a predominantly male thing? Feet, knees (character in Brassic), old tights, knickers. Something for everyone.

The older I get I realise some men are plain weird. They will sexualise any woman’s body part because they can.

I wrote a bit of a paper on this once. It was just theoretical and has no scientific basis.

The first answer is - we don’t know why anyone likes anything unusually sexually but we guess that it comes from formative moments. So marketing of sexy high heels and pointed toes as beautiful and ladylike and grown up lady things is one idea. That sexually mature women are the only people who wear heels etc. therefore that adult lady feet being out = sign of sexual maturity.

The second is the idea that the feet and ankles are looked at and then when followed upwards on the female form lead directly to the… well the female sexual organ. So they’re like a hint of what resides above.
