Do I need the dentist or the doctor, or what do I need to do?

I will phone 111 if I feel worse, but also am interested in people's opinions.
I have a recurring infection in a canine tooth that's had antibiotic treatment previously and I have ongoing dental care for gum disease.
The infection has flared up again today but it also feels sore and inflamed in my sinuses and roof of mouth, and to a lesser extent I have a sore throat as well.
I don't feel very unwell but I feel a bit sub par in general..fatigued and a bit rough....no high temp though.
Typical for this to happen on a weekend.
Would you call the dentist in first instance on Monday or your GP?

Dentist, gp won’t treat a tooth infection.

Call 111 or do online. They will refer if its urgent.

Dentist. But yes, 111 if your dentist is closed. You may need to go to an emergency dentist.

Thank you. I think I'm just a bit concerned in case the infection has actually spread to my sinuses this time. It felt much more localised in the tooth previously

  1. Don't wait till you feel any worse.

I had the infection in my sinus caused by a tooth extraction and had awful runny nose that was foul smelling and taste and post nasal drip. Would try to get antibiotics if you can

111
I think you need out of hours dentist ASAP. Don't wait to get really ill. It is clearly spreading.
