Food poisoning advice!

Help! I had food poisoning on Thursday morning - 90 minutes of painful vomiting and diarrhoea but then napped and woke up feeling way way better, and no V or D since. Pretty sure FP not gastro because so short lived and no other symptoms. But was stupid and ate a few pieces of sushi with my kids last night because felt much better and now stomach a bit tender again today.

I’m now on a skiing holiday and absolutely desperate to enjoy myself and eat and drink! How long after FP would you usually expect to be back to normal?

I can't imagine it's any different to a vomiting bug? I would just ease my stomach into it. Foods that are not fatty or acidic, little and often, and increase the volume and fat/acidity slowly.

Avoid dairy on a tender tummy

Thanks everyone! I’m not so much looking for advice on what to eat right now, I know all the dairy, fatty stuff really. More just looking for a probably timeline. I guess two and half days after the last vomit I was expecting to be more back to normal…

Yes I gathered that but didn't have the other info to hand. It can take two weeks after food poisoning - I've asked DH who had a bad case once. Depends on what type of bacterium.

It took ages after food poisoning for me to feel better and it plateaued with not getting worse but still couldn’t eat much but I then drank a bottle of kefir and even a few hours after felt way better. Was like my tummy needed something to recalibrate.
