I'm sat in my room sorting some clothes out whilst my partners mate and "new bit" are sat downstairs chatting, I ran upstairs out the way 😂.

I'm introverted, and don't like my partners friend who odd and immature.

Anyone else do runners up in the room to avoid the conversations?. And yes I'm rude for doing this but hey ho I really don't want to be around immature conversations with a bloke who's 35 who constantly talks about women's bodies in a way that feels eurh and getting pissed every night.

Does your partner having friends like this not give you the ick?

All the time, I've even told my partner this and told him he's a creep 😂

I'd busy myself if DH had just a male friend round. I'd make the effort if he'd brought a girlfriend round, she's probably feeling really uncomfortable and like you have a problem with her.

saltandvinegarpringles · 14/02/2026 13:18

Why are you in a relationship with someone who you think is a creep?

smallglassbottle · 14/02/2026 13:20

Can't you find a better quality partner? I'd rather be alone than be stuck with some grunt and his grunty mates.

Rainraingoawaydontcomeback · 14/02/2026 13:20

I don’t think your social anxiety is the problem here. I’m more worried about you being a relationship whose behaviour you don’t like.

Thattimenow · 14/02/2026 13:30

Your partner is close friends with someone like this?

I would be worried in your shoes

Thattimenow · 14/02/2026 13:33

You have MUCH bigger problems than social anxiety

She thinks the friend is a creep, not her boyfriend

I'm not even dressed I'm swinging all over id rather look dressed and approachable than look like a bog monster, as I stated I'm introverted I'm not pushing myself out of my own comfort zone to sit and listen to his friend talk creepy!

Your partner is a creep for tolerating and spending time with this bloke.

Do you realise how offensive the M word is? Or do you just not care?

The issue is

  1. you calling this woman “his new bit”
  2. your creep of a partner for being friends with someone this awful

you going on about being “introverted” is neither here nor there

Theemomum · 14/02/2026 13:46

Edited

Give over 😂, I've been with my partner for nearly 10 years he's far from that it's just his uninvited friend

Mind you, you refer to this woman as his “new bit”

so sounds like you’re made for each other
