Alternative non US brand conditioners

I’m hoping the wonderful mumsnetters might be able to offer suggestions. I’m trying to limit my spending with US owned companies and have always used L’Oréal professional absolut repair hair mask as a conditioner. It leaves my hair super soft but I’m now looking for alternatives not owned by US companies (such as L’Oréal, olaplex etc).

I have tried gisou but it’s just not as good. Has anyone else made the switch and have any suggestions?

I use faith in nature hair products. As far as I know they are Uk but I use them as they’re vegan. They leave my hair feeling really soft and smooth.

You’re fighting a losing battle with trying to not buy US as there is so many or companies have US links anyway, also people here works for US companies so boycotting harms us as well.

Also, do you know mumsnet uses Amazon web services to host their site so you’re supporting the US by being here.

The products I mentioned above are really good but I’m not sure I’d bother changing if I were you.

Well, OP, L’Oreal is actually a French company. Does that make a difference?

I’ve been using the same brand for years and I had no idea where it was from. Just googled and María Nila is Swedish.

OP L’Oréal is a global, French origin company headquartered in France. They are listed on the French stock exchange! So I think you are ok… they manufacture European products in Europe. Products they sell in the US are mostly manufactured in the US but that doesn’t apply to you.

And I agree with the PP - not much point if you’re posting on MN which is hosted by AWS (probably).
