Where can a 12 yr old watch live music in Liverpool?

Ds12 is desperate to go to Liverpool to see some music. Partly some Beatles music but any live music would make him happy. Most places I've found won't allow under 18s. Some under 14. Is he just too young?

His dream is a night in the Cavern Club but it definitely seems to be over 18s only.

The Beatles seem to be hugely popular among his schoolmates right now. Half the class are talking about visiting Liverpool at half term.

I'm sure accompanied children can go in the Cavern during the day, and they have live music on all day. Might be worth checking out what's on on specific days to see if you could guarantee some Beatles songs will be played.

Yes, the Cavern is open in the daytime and often has live music. I've taken my kids in there during the day in the school holidays. It's mostly tourists, not rowdy at all.

Oh when I read the Cavern Club website I thought it only had music in the evenings. I'll check again.

Loads of places with live music during the afternoon on Matthew street also wood street and there's usually a live singer on at the jacaranda on duke street make sure it's a Saturday or a Sunday that you go it's one of the things I most love about Liverpool there is so much live music
