WWYD - Work part time or SAHM

I’ve been a SAHM for over a year now and have been offered a job that is two fixed days per week, working around school hours and then one weekend day shift every second weekend.

We can pop our youngest into a private nursery but my only concern is when it comes to the school holidays and juggling that with 3 children.

Would you take the job or keep things as is?

Depends, are you missing working outside of the home? Would the money help? Can childcare be arranged for schools holidays?

If the answer is yes then why not try? Not many places offer hours that fit around school hours.

What are your long term plans with work?

Will a similar opportunity come up in years to come if PT is the plan?

I've worked PT since having DC3 (although we have family help with childcare and I've been WFH since 2020 and I don't have to work any weekends)

I'm a sahm. I wouldn't want to work weekends as we often go away or do day trips/visit extended family so it would affect our leisure time. So you have to think about your lifestyle really. We only have 2 dcs but it would be impossible to juggle certain weekend activities and parties without 2 parents on hand, but we have no family around to help.
